About Cambridge

Cambridge sits at the southern edge of Waterloo Region, bordered by the Grand River and Speed River. The city was formed in 1973 through the amalgamation of Galt, Preston, and Hespeler, each of which maintains its own distinct character. Galt, the largest and most established of the three, features beautiful stone architecture along the Grand River and a vibrant downtown core. Preston offers a mix of residential neighbourhoods and industrial heritage. Hespeler, in the north, has a more suburban feel with newer development.
